Newsflash! The number of homes available to purchase is finally starting to rise, up 8% within the last couple weeks, which is the largest increase of the year. We will continue to see this trend throughout the Summer. However with Summer vacations and Covid protocols being lifted, buyers are more distracted and we see demand decreasing by 5% in the past couple weeks.
With inventory rising and demand decreasing, we see the expected "Days on Market" increasing to 25 days (from 22 days) which still signals an insanely Hot Sellers Market. Sellers get to call the shots during negotiation, multiple offers are the norm, and home values are rising rapidly.
Sellers: Do not delay! With inventory starting to rise, there is more competition on the market. Demand will slowly decrease after the Summer as we move into the Fall and Winter Markets. Now is the time to sell!
